Welcome and thank you for visiting our website!

"MACC", short for the Multi Agency Communications Center, is one of the few truly consolidated Enhanced 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) in the state of Washington.  Located in Moses Lake, Washington, MACC is civilian staffed and dispatches emergency calls for fire, law enforcement and emergency medical service providers in Grant County, Washington.  

Grant County is located in Central Washington State and covers 2676 square miles.  The population is 74,698 based on the year 2000 census.  However, population balloons to over 100,000 during the summer months because of Grant County's many recreational facilities and favorable weather conditions.  There are over 140 lakes used for water sports, fishing and camping.  Natural habitats attract hunting enthusiasts.

The Grand Coulee Dam, located at the northern tip of Grant County, and the Columbia River are National tourist attractions that draw tourists and visitors worldwide.  Grant County is home to the Gorge Amphitheater.  Located near the Columbia River, The Gorge is well know for concerts by world famous musicians.  Industry focuses around agricultural commodities. Moses Lake is considered to be the Oasis of the Desert located in the heart of agricultural country of the Grant County Columbia Basin.  With one of the largest fresh water lakes in the state, Moses Lake is widely known for its recreational facilities.  Residents enjoy golfing, camping, hiking, fishing, boating and water sports, hunting and bird watching.  The Moses Lake Aquatic Center is a state of the art water facility to be enjoyed by the whole family.

The Sand Dunes/ORV Park located a short distance south of Moses Lake, is renown for 4 wheeling activities and snow activities in the winter. 

 

Winter sports are within a 60-90 mile radius of Moses Lake.  Having a population of 14,953 (2000 census), Moses Lake residents continue to enjoy a small town atmosphere.
